Omarosa in new book: I saw Trump’s racism ‘with my own eyes’

The Latest: In wake of book, Trump calls Omarosa 'a lowlife'

Former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman says she has personally heard a tape of US President Donald Trump using racial slurs.

The Situation Room is a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility, or SCIF, where the nation's most consequential foreign policy decisions are made, and staff are not permitted to bring in cellphones or other recording devices. She also says she later concluded that he is a racist and a bigot.

"She taped the chief of staff for the White House in the Situation Room, clearly a violation of every security protocol that she signed when she applied for a security clearance", Spicer said on "Fox News Sunday".

Manigault Newman was a contestant on Trump's "The Apprentice" reality show and later served as a senior adviser to the president. Ronna McDaniel, head of the Republican committee chair, tweeted. In a December 2016 guest column for the Hollywood Reporter, Manigault wrote Trump "does not judge people on their gender or race".

Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway said on ABC's "This Week" program that Manigault-Newman has undercut her credibility by previously giving glowing endorsements of Trump, and contradicting herself over whether she was sacked or resigned.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders called the book "riddled with lies and false accusations" and Mr Trump on Saturday labelled Ms Manigault Newman a "lowlife".

Quoting Trump's early, post-inauguration speech at the Central Intelligence Agency lamenting his inauguration crowd, Manigault Newman takes some editorial liberty, adding within quotation marks that Trump says, "Liars!"

Meanwhile, the GOP's official Twitter account blasted her. In her interview with Todd, Manigault Newman called on the White House to release her employee file so "the American people will see that I worked my butt off for this country".

"There's no question that some folks took offense to some of his tweets or things that he said [on the travel ban on Muslim-majority nations]", Scott said, noting he himself thought Trump's calling some countries "**it-holes" was "not helpful and offensive", though "I'm not sure that was specifically racial". There are pretty significant legal issues that we hope don't develop into something that, that'll make it ugly for you.

Omarosa Manigault has a book coming out and she's wasting no time to promote it.

US President Donald Trump denounced on Saturday "all types of racism" ahead of the anniversary of the white supremacist rally that took place in Charlottesville, Virginia, which resulted in the death of a woman and two police officers.

"I protected myself because this is a White House where everybody lies". "Remember, the White House had Russians there at some point".
