Maurizio Sarri is set to make a decision on whether Chelsea launch a late move to sign Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace, reports say.

Zaha is interested in leaving Palace he had even submitted a transfer request but does not want to leave London, with Chelsea being his most preferred destination.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made a decision to end their interest in signing Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.

"I do think the fee would have to be much bigger than what Chelsea are talking about".

Chelsea have also been linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund starlet Christian Pulisic over the past few weeks, while a move for Manchester United's Anthony Martial has also been mooted.

Thibaut Courtois Goes AWOL In Order To Force Real Madrid Move
The Portuguese manager was said to have wanted to rejoin with his former player as he wished to strengthen United's right-wing. Hinting he would be willing to sell Courtois if he confirms he wants to leave, Sarri said: "I have no reaction on the agent".

Townsend has no intention of moving to Newcastle or anywhere else after declaring he wants to stay at Crystal Palace "for many years".

But the pair have been impressing under Roy Hodgson in pre-season with both players among the goals, including Kaikai bagging three goals in three games.

Further, it is reported that Zaha has rejected the club's advance at renewing his contract and bettering the package he now earns, with fresh terms giving him up to £125,000-a-week, a decent step-up from a recent contract he signed that sees him earn £100,000-a-week now.

The West Londoners succumbed to a 2-0 defeat in the FA Community Shield match against Manchester City, highlighting the fact that Sarri has plenty of work to be done to take the team back to the top of the pile.

Williams and Kaikai will both be hoping to remain at Palace and avoid being sent out on loan before Thursday's 5pm transfer deadline.
