Vice President Yemi Osinbajo - who is acting as head of the country while Buhari is on holiday in London, ordered the dismissal of DSS chief Lawal Musa Daura "with immediate effect".

The security operatives also blocked the lawmakers and NASS workers from gaining access to the offices but later allowed the lawmakers go in.

The meetings took place separately at Professor Osinbajo's office.
