Manchester United prepared to pay £100m for Real Madrid's Raphael Varane?

Paul Pogba

GETTY STAYING Pogba has made-up with his manager apparently

For the first time in 134 senior appearances, Shaw found the net and his late goal in Manchester United's Premier League season opener against Leicester ultimately proved crucial.

Jose is the type of manager who gives someone the captaincy for the right reasons and I think he made a decision to give Pogba some responsibility for managing the game and the players around him, which was a very clever move.

"For us, it will be a hard season because I had my plans for many months".

"But of course I'm very happy with how it started and now I'll just push on from here and hopefully make many more memories like the ones tonight for me".

"We have to wait for end of November, beginning of December to understand how things are going and if we can fight for the title".

"In the periods Leicester were stronger we played as a team and coped well". They [Leicester] spent more money than us, so in the Premier League we must get used to teams with players of the same quality that we have. I had my plans for many months and I find myself with the market closed in a situation I did not think I would be in.

Wearing the captain's armband, Pogba got the scoring started with a third-minute penalty and generally impressed in the centre of the pitch, but it was his ability to keep going for 80 minutes despite a lack of a pre-season that Mourinho focused on in his post-match news conference. "Forget the name, the history, the shirt, every match is hard".

"He had the first three or four days of training and first couple of matches where he played 40 or 50 minutes".

Turkish Currency Collapses After Trump Doubles Metals Tariffs
The currency drop is particularly painful for Turkey because the country finances a lot of its economic growth with foreign money. Congress has led to a nascent bill that could limit Turkey's ability to obtain loans from any U.S. -based financial institutions.

"I am very pleased for Luke Shaw".

Shaw forced a save from Kasper Schmeichel just past the 40-minute mark, settling a pass from Juan Mata after some nice build-up play from United before firing right at the Leicester keeper.

The 25-year-old, who was linked with Barcelona and Juventus but with United unwilling to sell , is delighted to be back in domestic action and claims his hunger for trophies remains as fierce as ever .

"It was tough for Harry Maguire, he gave his best and had a good game".

Mourinho had plenty of praise for Pogba, who is not yet at full fitness following France's World Cup win.

Shaw wasn't positive his goal meant he'd remain a first-choice starter for Mourinho, but he said he's set his sights high. Martial in the last 20 minutes could have given us the second goal but I couldn't make that change.
