Comic ConAMC Unveils FEAR THE WALKING DEAD Comic Con Trailer And Casting

Several members of the cast debuted a teaser for the upcoming season at San Diego Comic Con for those in attendance.

Producers and the cast also revealed the first trailer for "The Walking Dead" season 9 at San Diego Comic-Con, giving fans a glimpse of what's to come. You can see the trailer below for the new season, which will premiere on October 7 on AMC.

The footage featured Grimes and the rest of the survivors assembling infrastructure in their new society, as well as conversations with an imprisoned Negan. The trailer for the second half of the season is a whirlwind of emotions, but for the most part it's pretty amusing.

The latter, the departure of Rick Grimes, is a massive shift away from the source material where Rick is still alive and in charge. By that I mean they're walker bait.

"You know, these guys here and everybody back in Atlanta [where the show films] are the greatest surrogate family I could have wished for but, I do have a real family and it is time for me to go home". What will be the fate of Andrew Lincoln's character in the walker-infested world?

With Lincoln and Cohan leaving, it falls to Norman Reedus' Daryl and Danai Gurira's Michonne to step up into a leadership role.

The trailer also teases the show's next big villains, the Whisperers, who are a huge comic threat.
