Ant-Man and the Wasp takes place in the last three days before Scott's house arrest ends, with Hope Van Dyne (Wasp) and her father, Hank Pym, breaking Scott out of his house arrest confinement because they need his help to save Janet Van Dyne from the Quantum Realm. But the Ant-Man and the Wasp end-credits scene does take place at the same time as Infinity War and answers the question of where Ant-Man was during the battle against Thanos - if not questions about how the Avengers plan to bring back their fallen compatriots. DC's latest Superman films were so dark and somber that they are a punchline in the genre - a relative nightmare for Marvel's greatest competitor - and the rousing success of "Wonder Woman" has thus far not been enough to completely undo those miscues. It is widely expected that the events of Captain Marvel will tie directly into Avengers 4 and, thanks to the Infinity War post-credits tease, we know the super heroine is on her way.
Ant-Man and The Wasp continues the longstanding Marvel Cinematic Universe tradition of post-credits scenes - the film has two in total, one midway through the credits and one at the very end - but unlike most of the previous Marvel movies, where the stingers were playful bonus scenes or Easter eggs for comic book fans, you'll be missing out on a major plot twist if you decide to leave the theater as soon the movie ends. mostly because Scott, Hope and Cassie's miniaturized drive-in movie night isn't really the end of the movie.
While any temporal journeying could be the result of the Time Stone now in possession of Thanos, it could also come from Ant-Man's inter-dimensional travels in the Quantum Realm that leads into a time vortex.
The first sequence is a mid-credits scene. Now we know why. Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), the original Wasp and Hank's wife, was trapped in the Quantum Realm while on a mission 30 years ago. Upstairs, the giant ant "stand in" Hope programmed to mimic Scott's routine keeps on keeping on, oblivious to the apocalypse, playing Scott's drum set. But since the film is out, numerous questions we've had since the release of Avengers: Infinity War have been answered - especially the one about how Ant-Man connects to Avengers 4.
Chris Paul staying with Rockets
CLINT CAPELA LATEST The Rockets front office will meet with Clint Capela and his agents in Los Angeles on Sunday, ESPN reported. Capela earned just $2.3 million last season, which was a bargain for Houston , given the numbers and value they got from him .
There's basically an endless list of possibilities revolving around the Quantum Realm.
Of course, there's also a fail-safe in the form of a character we meet in the movie, Bill Foster (Laurence Fishburne), so Scott might just get yanked out and run off to beat up Thanos on his farm.
What happens: Ant-Man and the Wasp closes with the usual reassurance that "Ant-Man and the Wasp will return". and then, a beat later, finishes it off with a question mark.
Avengers 4 will arrive in May, 2019.
