Drake's new album, Scorpion, has the entire internet in their feels and looks like it will dominate headlines for at least the foreseeable future.

The popularity is likely helped by widespread promotion of the project.

As for Spotify, Drake's album garnered 132 million streams during its first 24 hours on the platform, which likewise breaks that service's single-day streaming record.

Drake revealed nothing about the song's genesis, but Jackson is known to have left a series of unfinished tracks when he died in 2009. He raps about meeting the mother of his son only twice and that he's seen the baby, born October 11, only once.

The Canadian Jewish hip-hop star, one of the top-selling artists in recent years, had kept fans in suspense for weeks as he prepared the release of his fifth full-fledged studio album, entitled "Scorpion".

Rumours began circulating a year ago that Drake had fathered a child with former French porn star Sophie Brussaux.

The album also features collaborations with Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj, Ty Dolla Sign, and posthumous vocals by Michael Jackson.

'England have clear path to World Cup semi-finals'
We lost once, and the others were a draw and, going back before that, Sweden have beaten England in big games". I went to two of their games in Brazil (four years ago) - they were incredible occasions.

"I wasn't hiding my kid from the world / I was hiding the world from my kid", Drake raps in "Emotionless", which samples Mariah Carey's "Emotions".

The alum's final track, "March 14", is even more explosively revealing. In May, rapper Pusha-T put out a track that accused Drake of hiding the fact that he had a son.

For another artist, a diss track so heavy might have hurt their career - but not for Drake.

But let's get to the juicy part first, the one that set the internet aflame earlier this month. Other songs that reference his son include "8 Out of 10" and the closer "March 14", where he directly addresses the boy ("I only met you one time, introduced you to Saint Nick.") and confesses he's "embarrassed" to tell his divorced parents he's "a co-parent" too.

"I'm out here on front lines just making sure I see him sometimes / It's breaking my spirit / Single father, I hate when I hear it / I used to challenge my parents on every album", he raps.

"Soon as this album drops, I'm outta the deal". Rap officially surpassed rock in 2017 as the biggest music genre in the United States.
