Family has son dressed in Kyrie Irving jersey playing NBA2K at funeral

Renard Matthews, 18, was tragically killed after being shot in the head during a robbery in New Orleans, Louisiana back on June 25.

At the Charbonnet Labat Glapion Funeral Home in Treme, his family showed the world the things Matthews love the most.

Body of dead teen was honored in a very unusual way as his corpse was positioned in a chair facing a television screen with PlayStation pads in his hands and his favourite snacks next to him. Kyrie Irving jersey and socks included, too.

Houston Rockets "Determined" To Sign Carmelo Anthony
Worryingly, his presence on the court saw the Thunder's team plus/minus rating slide to negative 14.3 during the playoffs. Rockets point guard Chris Paul has been "advocating" the club add Anthony according to Yahoo's Jordan Schultz .

While the tragedy of losing him so young weighs heavy on his family, they chose to have his body prepared for Sunday afternoon's wake in a way that they want to remember him, according to WGNO.

The realistic tribute to Matthews also came with the teenager surrounded by some of his favorite snacks, including cereal, Doritos, zebra cakes, and a root beer.

With the burial scheduled for Tuesday, hopefully close friends and family members of Renard were able to visit him over the weekend, as his life was celebrated in distinct fashion.
