Paul confirmed the deal on Twitter.

The point guard, 33, is a nine-time All-Star and helped lead the Rockets to the best record in the National Basketball Association last season (65-17).

Paul was a major contributor to the Rockets, helping them to the Western Conference Finals.

As anticipated, point guard Chris Paul remained with the Houston Rockets.
