Black Panther star wins hero award, and honors a real hero

With its win, "Love, Simon" became the second consecutive movie to be honored by the MTV Movie and TV Awards for a same-sex kiss, following "Moonlight's" best-kiss win for Ashton Sanders and Jharrel Jerome past year.

MTV reverted to pre-recording the show, filmed on Saturday in a cavernous hangar at Santa Monica Airport in southern California, after broadcasting live a year ago.
