Rumor: Next Assassin's Creed titled Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey leaks: is this the sequel to Origins?

A keyring has apparently leaked the next Assassin's Creed game

Following this morning's leak of Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Kotaku confirmed that report and posted additional details about the game that they've been hearing from their own sources.

Beyond the tweet, information about the title's gameplay mechanics, storyline, and protagonist is scarce.

Based on the small amount of material we've seen, Odyssey would seem to take place, paradoxically, centuries before Origins' 1st-century BCE timeframe. The leak originally came from upcoming Assassin's Creed merchandise, which was spotted by French site, JeuxVideoLive.

I've reached out to Ubisoft for comment.

But the wait turned out to be worth it, as 2016's Egyptian-themed Assassin's Creed Origins scored the most positive reviews for the franchise in some time, even if it was still a bit repetitive.

Ubisoft has yet to officially announce a new entry in the Assassin's Creed series.

Zidane resigns as Real Madrid manager
The former star player arrived surrounded by doubts because of his lack of coaching experience but quickly surpassed expectations. Perez said: "This was a totally unexpected decision and today is a sad day for me and for everyone who works for this club.

The game unfortunately won't feature Bayek or Aya as playable characters, and will instead introduce two new heroes.

The sources also said that Assassin's Creed: Odyssey would be released before 31 March 2019. Does that mean the annualisation of the franchise is back on? The promotional item, seen below, clearly bears the Assassin's Creed Odyssey name.

As with all rumors, take this with the proverbial grain of salt.

Last year's Assassin's Creed: Origins was a surprise hit for Ubisoft.

Ok, that is incredibly short, but the full reveal will be at E3.
