We have to say, the company has succeeded in creating a buzz around the flagship. OnePlus will be launching its flagship smartphone, OnePlus 6 today at an event in London. The other one is in Mumbai, specific to India launch on May 17.

The OnePlus 6 is expected to house a 6.28-inch bezel-less display with a 19:9 aspect ratio, which is taller than regular flagships. But thankfully, the resemblance ends there.

Unlike the metal unibody frames of the previous phones, the OnePlus 6 will sport an all-glass design. So, there is strong possibility that the device will support wireless charging, which was sorely missed in the nearly flawless predecessor (OnePlus 5T). It is also expected that the OnePlus 6 will feature a water-resistant design and will come with a headphone that has a 3.5mm jack, supporting features like face unlock and dash charging.? Going by the current industry standard, it might come with the latter. OnePlus had partnered with Amazon.in for a "Fast AF" sale, between 13-16 May, wherein customers can buy a Gift Card worth INR 1,000 to be used to buy the OnePlus 6 between 21 and 22 May 2018 and get Amazon Pay Balance worth INR 1,000 in addition to aforementioned offers. Speaking about the alert slider on OnePlus 6, it is expected to come with new shortcuts for the camera according to teasers. The SoC also houses the Adreno 630 GPU which again should provide an nearly 30 per cent jump in performance during graphics-intensive tasks.

Last year, despite the buildup for the OnePlus collaboration with world-renowned camera rating agency DxOMark, OnePlus 5T failed to live up to the hype. In terms of design, the smartphone will bring back glass build for the rear, first seen on the OnePlus X. With a glass design, the smartphone is expected to support wireless charging.

It is expected to come with dual-camera 16MP+20MP snappers with an F1.7 aperture and a fingerprint sensor below it. But the partnership with Amazon is even bigger than India, as OnePlus just announced that the OnePlus 6 will be also available from the giant retailer in various European markets where Amazon has a presence. The event is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM ET.

- The OnePlus 6 is going to be a high-end phone. And the second top-end model (with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage) is expected to set you back by Rs 39,999. The 6GB Ram variant will come with 64GB and 128GB storage options, while the 8GB version will have 256GB of internal storage.
