The Spurs have never dropped six consecutive postseason games under Popovich, though that streak will likely be seriously tested unless San Antonio comes up with some very different ideas very quickly.

It didn't take long for the Heat's lead to vanish. It's hard to imagine much change to that in Game 2. We anticipate Philadelphia will be a single-digit favorite.

While some will call this game a fluke, and still question the team's ability to maintain their breakneck pace over a full series, if game one is of any indication, I think the 76ers are going to be just fine. But the Heat regrouped, and used a huge second quarter to take control of the game.

The 76ers outscored the Heat 74-43 in the second half after trailing 60-56 at halftime. Two power forwards paced the Heat. Olynyk and James Johnson, who closed with 13 points, three rebounds and four assists, were leading the charge.

They'll return to action Wednesday in a big Southern Hills Athletic Conference showdown with Peebles at home at 5 p.m. Down 1-0 in the bottom of the third inning, the Lady Lions (20-2) tied the score on a one-out RBI double from Cole.

The 76ers' prolific offense was in rare form. Embiid had surgery March 31st. It was yet another spectacular team effort from the Sixers led by rookie sensation Ben Simmons, who went for 17 points, nine rebounds, and 14 assists in his playoff debut. Bellinelli and Ilyasova were vital midseason additions for Philadelphia.

The last time the Heat visited the Wells Fargo Center, the Sixers were down by 24 points and came all the way back to get the 104-102 victory. Who knows how well Embiid will play against Whiteside in later games, especially coming off an orbital fracture and concussion. As a result, the NBA's best post player is a strong candidate to be the defensive player of the year and make an all-NBA team.

Embiid will likely return to the court at some point in this series. Let's hope game two brings more of the same. He will wear a protective mask when he returns to the court.
