The 45th annual PFA Awards, where the victor voted for by PFA members will be announced, is to be held in the Grosvenor House in London on April 22.

Salah has taken the Premier League by storm in his first season at Liverpool.

United will have been disappointed not to get closer to runaway leaders City this term, though one constant for them has been the form of De Gea, who is the only goalkeeper among the nominees.

De Bruyne has been the standout player in the incredible Manchester City side that have stormed the Premier League this season. The Spain playmaker has eight goals and 11 assists to his name this season.

Kane trails him by four goals in the league and three goals overall for the season, and the two are competing with one another to claim the Premier League's Golden Boot. So having never played a single second of Premier League football, its impressive that he could even be considered, never mind make the shortlist.

The Egypt star scored in both legs as Liverpool knocked out City to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League earlier this week.

This followed the release of the list as well as that of the Young Player of the Year.

His City counterpart Ederson has proved to be an excellent addition for his club after the position proved a problem for manager Pep Guardiola last season.

Ederson's teammates Raheem Sterling has a total of 16 league goal and has also contributed eight assists.

Among his rivals for that prize is 17-year-old Fulham left-back Ryan Sessegnon.
