Ingram's Lakers teammates in Brook Lopez and Julius Randle were just as impressed. "10 years grinding in the G League, finally get an opportunity and to play like that, that's pretty special".
It's a dream come true kind of day for Andre Ingram.
"It was once in a lifetime", said Ingram, who was still in awe after the game.
Tuesday night's game between the Rockets and the Los Angeles Lakers didn't have much riding on it, but it was the most important game in the world for Andre Ingram. He scored 19 points, making 6-of-8 from the field, including 4-of-5 from the 3-point line and 2-of-2 from the foul line. And he sent the Staples Center crowd into a frenzy with each shot made, even being serenaded with "MVP" chants with the actual MVP front-runner, Rockets guard James Harden, on the same floor.
"When Rob and Magic walked in, all the emotions you could think, I was like, 'This could be it.' I hadn't checked out mentally yet because I don't do that until I get home". "Everyone was like that". "Once we went out as a team for warm-ups, I just felt some electricity out there". "You could feel something in there. MVP chants, that's just insane", Ingram told reporters. "Ten years in the D League, but it wasn't like 10 hateful years or years I didn't enjoy", said Ingram.
Queen Elizabeth's secret passion revealed in documentary
But that's exactly what the Queen did, though, when a helicopter flew over the garden in which she and Attenborough were walking. The Queen and Sir David Attenbrough are born three weeks apart. " Sounds like President Trump , or President Obama", she joked.
Ingram's debut nearly felt historic, especially when he started off hot.
Despite losing to the Rockets 105-99, Lakers coach Luke Walton awarded Ingram the game ball. Johnson and West are immortalized with statues outside Staples Center.
Ingram made his National Basketball Association debut for the Lakers after 384 games over a full decade in the developmental G League, including parts of the past six years with the Lakers' affiliate. He also briefly played in Australia in 2016 before returning to the G League, according to NBA.com. Ingram's wife and two daughters were there to watch his debut, which he killed it in.
And that was just his first game.
Ingram likely will feature for the Lakers on Tuesday night when they face the Los Angeles Clippers in their season finale.
