"And it's a real bad career move for him".

"Right now, absolutely not", White said, when asked if he still wants to be in business with McGregor. His plane can't take off.

When that announcement was made by White, McGregor tweeted his disgust at the decision - but today he took his anger one step further.

The incidents follow yesterday's announcement by UFC president Dana White that McGregor will be stripped of his lightweight title - a decision that prompted a furious response from McGregor on Twitter and appears to have led him to decide to make the trip to NY to re-announce his presence on the UFC stage in explosive fashion.

Conor McGregor was involved in a backstage melee after a news conference for UFC223, and video footage appears to show the promotion's biggest star throwing a hand truck at a bus full of fighters, injuring at least one scheduled to compete Saturday. And I'm assuming; eventually, if they don't catch him he'll turn himself in.

Chiesa, 30, was released from hospital and is still set to fight on Saturday against Anthony Pettis.

It's understood that an altercation earlier this week between Nurmagomedov and McGregor's training partner, Artem Lobov, is what sparked the Irishman's pursuit of vengeance.

And Russian Nurmagomedov was not impressed by McGregor's antics.

UFC president Dana White said credentialed journalists from McGregor's website, The Mac Life, let McGregor and a large entourage into Barclays Center.

McGregor has not fought since November 2016 when he knocked out Eddie Alvarez to win the lightweight title.

The vehicle was carrying Khabib Nurmagomedov, McGregor's long-term rival, and other UFC fighters back to their hotel after a media day at the Barclays Centre. McGregor is now the lightweight title holder but will be stripped of the title on Saturday.

White confirmed: "We're not stripping [interim champ] Tony Ferguson".

"As you can imagine he's going to be sued beyond belief", White said.

At that point he held both the 145lb and 155lb belts, becoming the first fighter to do so in the UFC's history.

"The interim these two were supposed to fight for, fight doesn't happen, now one of these guys will be the champion".
