FitBit Launches Newest Smartwatches & App Features

Fitbit Versa brings female health tracking and a much-improved design

Fitbit Versa smartwatch brings women's health tracking and a curvier design

The Versa goes in a completely different direction, dropping the sharp edges and corners in favor of a product that appears to flow around the wrist nicely. With a renewed focus as a health and fitness accessory, the Apple Watch Series 3 is in a league of its own in terms of luxury fitness tracking. It also chose to go with what it calls a "squircle" design - yes, really- softening the hard edges of a square with rounded corners to make it feel more inviting.

It features a modern design that reminds me of a Pebble watch (a company they bought), unlike that very bad looking thing they shipped previously, called the Ionic. I relived some elementary school gym class trauma with a session of dodgeball and Presidential Fitness Test-style strength training. Step goals and heart rate trends are shown on new interfaces, letting you more easily keep an eye on daily progress or your resting heart rate. Like the Ionic, it's platform agnostic.

You'll also receive more personalised fitness guidance, with 24/7 heart rate tracking, on-screen workouts, and more exercise modes. It's also safe for swimming. More importantly, it is also missing Fitbit Pay, which is not widely available yet in any case, but maybe more felt in the future.

Fitbit announced two brand-new products today, plus a much-requestion additional feature for the Fitbit app.

The Versa will come in three options for $199.95: a black case with a black strap, a silver aluminum case with a gray strap, and a rose gold case with a peach strap. The Fitbit Versa Special Edition will be available for Rs. 21,999.

The company also spoke a little more about the Fitbit Ionic: adidas edition.

How much does the Fitbit Ace cost?

By offering 10 unique clock faces and two fun interchangeable bands in electric blue and power purple, kids can find the style that fits their unique personality and be motivated to wear Ace day and night, no matter what they are doing.

Vikings Among Several Teams Reaching Out To Free Agent QB Drew Brees
With Brees in place in New Orleans for at least the next two years, things could quickly pick up hedging toward a reunion. The news comes as a relief to Saints fans who were waiting for news as the free agency period crept closer .

The Ace is similar to the Fitbit Alta and tracks sleep, steps, and physical activity.

Since it's designed for children, it doesn't have the same fitness prompts as the company's adult-oriented trackers. The idea here is that parents can adjust their child's move reminders so that Ace isn't activating when they're in class.

The Fitbit Versa also has the technical chops to back up their lovely aesthetic, with a solid list of features that includes heart rate monitoring, 50 meter water resistance, on-board music storage, and compatibility with a huge number of watchfaces and apps - making it one of the most impressive Fitbits to date, and even one of the most fully-featured smartwatches in general.

The Fitbit Ace is on pre-order now for $99 (about RM385), and will be release at some point in May.

Fitbit's revamped smartwatch software includes a female health app to track periods. This includes being able to label your energy levels and mood throughyour cycle, so you can begin to see patterns and make informed predictions.

According to a Fitbit survey, 80 percent of women didn't know how many phases were in a menstrual cycle and over 70 percent did not know the average length of a cycle.

Fitbit OS 2.0 is also coming with menstrual tracking, which Chase says was one of the most requested features by Fitbit users.
