On The Late Late Show with James Corden, Charlize Theron and David Oyelowo shared a very amusing story about how the ice wasn't the only thing breaking when they met.

Theron shares son Jackson and daughter August with former partner Stuart Townsend. Not that Penn mistreated her or anything, he's just, you know, Sean Penn.

We will see the maternal side of Theron in her upcoming movie, Tully, but in Gringo, she plays a sleazy corporate type with quite the potty mouth - "I say some awful stuff in this movie." - who sends Oyelowo's character on a "business trip" to Mexico to fetch a marijuana pill formula.

The star of the new movie "Gringo", opened up to Jimmy Kimmel on Wednesday night and revealed that she and her mother Gerda have used the drug to help with their unconventional sleeping patterns.

"But I love her for the fact that shes always 100 per cent herself".

It follows a trip to Egypt earlier in the week, when Prince Mohammed met Coptic Pope Tawadros II in Cairo. London also eyes listing state oil firm Saudi Aramco in its stock market.

"You sort of need to pummel and plough away for longer, as a black actor, to get a degree of fame and, more often than not, you have to play a historical figure somewhere; basically a role that a white actor couldn't play".

Theron has been exceptionally candid throughout the Gringo press tour, previously opening up to ET about the days that try her patience as the single mother of two young children.

However, the Oscar victor was surprised when her mom showed up to her house one day with the goods.

"I really thought I would be the responsible one to have to go and get that", she said.

To Theron's surprise, her fellow experiment subject made the first move and went to the dispensary to obtain research materials. After quitting the drug in her 30s due to a bad reaction that caused her to stare at a refrigerator for eight hours (no joke), the 42-year-old actress is back to blazing up, and she's found the most reliable supplier: her mom. "She's one of the bravest people I know", Oyelowo told.
