Our skies will become mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers Monday and Tuesday.

Scattered snow showers will continue throughout the day today.

All morning we'll have moderate to heavy rain spread across the area.

Today was a pleasant day in the Tri-Cities and tonight temperatures will be seasonable in the upper 30s and low 40s. "In total, 2-3" of rain is likely and locally higher totals can't be ruled out, especially in NW Alabama. The afternoon is expected to stay quite warm with highs in the lower 80s.

The forecast for Thursday, March 29 calls for a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 13 C and a low of 1 C with a chance of showers. Tuesday will have mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid and upper 50s. In fact, it looks like a day best spent indoors.

We had a large snow event over the weekend and all of that snow melt has saturated the ground so much of this rain will have nowhere to go.
