As for where Maggie is at now on The Walking Dead: she's pregnant with her dead husband, Glenn's, baby. But not because the character's weak. Though Andrew Lincoln (Rick) and Norman Reedus (Daryl) has already inked theirs, assuring their characters' safety at least through the first episode of next season, Cohan had some issues with hers.
"The potential series centers on the adventures of Foley's Federal Bureau of Investigation agent Will Chase (codename: Whiskey Cavalier) who, following an emotional break-up, is assigned to work with Cohan's quick and cunning Central Intelligence Agency operative Francesca "Frankie" Trowbridge (codename: Fiery Tribune)".
The Walking Dead showrunner Scott Gimple says he's "incredibly hopeful" that Cohan and AMC will be able to work out another deal, but he acknowledged that her departure is a possibility. Other sources note AMC has made "aggressive offers" to re-sign Cohan for season nine.
Earlier this month The Hollywood Reporter reported Cohan was 'actively looking for her next role and [was] getting offers left and right'.
Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir Are Ice Dancing's King and Queen
Papadakis and Cizeron have an elegant, lyrical style while Moir and Virtue are known for their sensuality and energy on the ice. France took victory in the mixed relay biathlon, with Martin Fourcade starring en route to his fifth Olympic gold medal.
It had been speculated that Cohan was only taking pilot offers in order to force AMC's hand in the negotiation process, but this news shows that she's more than willing to move on.
The actress, who has starred as Maggie since season two of the AMC zombie drama, has booked a lead role in ABC drama pilot Whiskey Cavalier. But we do absolutely know how lucky we have been to be a part of it all and appreciate all the love from fans all these years!' "These things do happen in TV", he said. "But we're talking. And Lauren is an actor who has such intuition and such power".
Although Gimple remains positive, his response hasn't been exactly inspirational, especially with a network that has played hardball in the past and is now facing two lawsuits over royalties from The Walking Dead (plus an additional lawsuit over a stuntman's death). And the unfortunate world of contracts and negotiations may have lead to another Walking Dead favorite leaving the show.
