There's a lot of hype for the affordable Moto G6 series and a new leak sheds more light on the upcoming Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus and Moto G6 Play smartphones. What's notable is that Motorola didn't launch the Play variant for its fifth-generation of Moto G smartphones. Another leak has surfaced for the Moto G6 Play on a benchmarking site. It's pretty clear that the company is going to unveil Moto G6 series, Moto Z3 series and Moto X5 in the coming weeks, even if it's not at the MWC 2018.

The octa-core 430 chip powering the G6 Play will be "borrowed" from last year's "standard" Moto G5, and paired with a solid 3GB RAM. The Moto G6 Plus is now leaked in better looking renders. One key highlight of this device is that it will will be running Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.

Now according to the latest report by Android Headlines, Moto G6 Plus will be available in Silver, Gold, White, Cyan and Blue color variants. The new device will have dual camera setup at the rear with support for LED flash.

The G6 Plus will sport a 5.93-inch display offering Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. The bottom bezel features the branding of the company along with a thin-shaped home button that could be embedded with a fingerprint sensor. Evan Blass took to Twitter and revealed the codenames of the smartphones.

The Moto G6 Play will be powered by Snapdragon 630 SoC, while the G6 Plus and G6 smartphones will be using the Snapdragon 625 SoC. Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus, both phones launched with the same Chipsets, so we can expect the same from this new Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus smartphones.
