Two injured in Stockholm subway station explosion

The explosion took place just outside the Varby Gard subway station in Huddinge, a residential district that is part of greater Stockholm.

Stockholm A man in his sixties was killed and a woman, 45, was slightly hurt in an explosion outside a Metro station in a southern suburb of the Swedish capital.

"These two people cycled past the object and stopped to see what was on the ground".

Swedish police could not immediately confirm the death. Daily newspaper Aftonbladet said it was thought to have been a hand grenade. "This is totally unacceptable", Alvarsjo said.
