Ford and the Steve McQueen estate are auctioning the first new Mustang Bullitt off the factory line to benefit Chino Hills, California-based Boys Republic, a private, nonprofit, nonsectarian school and treatment community for troubled youngsters. The '66 Shelby is Lot 1406, and bids open Saturday, while the '87 Buick GNX goes up as Lot 1327 Saturday.
The vehicle will run across the block and when the gavel drops, 100% of the proceeds will be given to a charity that has special meaning to the Steve McQueen Estate.
