Samsung Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8 Plus have been officially launched Here are the specifications

Samsung has announced the latest Galaxy A models: the A8 and A8 Plus. Previously, you needed to splash out on S-Series or Note phone to make the most of Samsung's VR experience. The Galaxy A8 and A8 Plus will be available early January, but there's no indication yet of how much it will cost. Both new devices feature a 16MP and 8MP F/1.9 dual front camera, a 16MP F/1.7 rear camera, an infinity display, a display ratio of 18.5:9, and 32GB or 64GB storage that's expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card. While the Galaxy Note 8 is the first Samsung smartphone to feature dual camera setup, the upcoming Galaxy A8 (2018) smartphones will be featuring the dual cameras on the front. There is also the Live Focus feature to adjust the bokeh effect before or after the selfie has been taken as seen in the Galaxy Note 8, which has dual rear cameras. Samsung's Galaxy A8 will allow users to take portrait shots as well from the front camera.

The main camera has been upgraded with a brighter f/1.7 aperture for the 16MP sensor.

As per the leaks, the 2018 Galaxy A8 devices will be launched during the CES 2018. Disappointingly though, rather than Android Oreo the A8 (2018) runs Android 7.1.1.

Dimensions of the Galaxy A8 (2018) are 149.2 x 70.6 x 8.4 mm and it weighs 172g while the bigger Plus version has the following dimensions: 159.9 x 75.7 x 8.3 mm and this weighs 191 g.
