Only one other fight - Mayweather's 2015 bout with Manny Pacquiao - has ever drawn more, racking up 4.6 million buys to earn around $600 million. After the bout, McGregor said Mayweather would excel in UFC. The SHOWTIME PPV totals for Mayweather vs. McGregor far exceed the now third best event in history-nearly doubling the 2.48 million buys for Oscar De La Hoya vs. Mayweather in 2007.

Showtime said in their statement that the fight had exceeded 600 million dollars, including global revenues, including ticket sales, sponsorship and worldwide distribution.

This likely means McGregor's next fight will be a lightweight title unification fight with the interim UFC Lightweight Champion Tony Ferguson, and hopefully, this will take place at some point in the early stages of 2018.

UFC president Dana White quickly refuted those claims and even stated he'd sue Pacquiao and his representatives if they attempted to do so.

Ryan Reynolds Shares New 'Deadpool 2' Art
Deadpool and the X-Men film franchise may be soaring over to Disney , but Deadpool himself is ascending into heaven. But we think there might be an opportunity for a Marvel-R brand for something like Deadpool , ' he said.

In a live Periscope video uploaded by, the 15-time world boxing champion told fans that he could "come back" to UFC, fight "in the Octagon", and "do a three or four-fight deal and make $1 billion (£745 million)".

"It's a very winnable fight [against Conor McGregor], and there's a lot of money to be made from it". I don't think it's much of a fight.

Last month, Jesse Holland of MMA Mania reported the UFC expected McGregor to return for a matchup against Tony Ferguson at UFC 219 on December 30.

It is probably safe to say this one won't happen, especially if this man has anything to say about it...
