THE BBC has launched its official skill for Amazon Alexa, its "first full voice service for smart speakers". It also enables the BBC to introduce pop-up stations throughout the year to cover a range of events, festivals and genres.
It brings together all of the BBC's radio stations - 40 local, 10 national, 6 nation (ie Wales, Ulster) and the World Service as well as all of its myriad of podcasts.
To use the skill, audiences simply need to ask for the BBC Radio station or podcast they want.

The exhibit , on Queen West, is open daily from 11AM to 7PM until December 17th and is presented by Walt Disney Canada. Early in the day, Boyega had tweeted from Atlanta: "Looks like no one's leaving!" and "I actually NEED a pilot".

Amazon has bestowed Alexa with new abilities, ones that surround its alarm functionality.

Customers can choose from content hand-curated by Amazon Music experts, build their own playlists, or find new favourites through Amazon's recommendations either on the Amazon Music app or Web Player.
