NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 12: Fans flip as Chris Jericho challenges Kenny Omega

Kenny Omega Vs. Chris Jericho Is Appointment Viewing

Chris Jericho has arguably had the best aggregate body of work of any pro wrestler in the last 20 years.

His Thoughts on WWE Talent: "WWE, in general - you can quote me on this I don't care - everyone there is so below me".

Given that he can do whatever he wants because he's not under contract, Jericho made a decision to challenge Kenny Omega over the weekend, and now he's set to face Omega at Wrestle Kingdom 12 at the Tokyo Dome in January.

Nonetheless, the wrestling world was pretty surprised when Jericho appeared in the above promo challenging Omega to a match at Wrestle Kingdom at the Tokyo Dome on January 4th.

Rand Paul Allegedly Attacked By Neighbor Over Landscaping Dispute
It isn't clear when Paul will return to work since he is in considerable pain and is having difficulty getting around. He was released on Saturday after posting a $7,500 bond, Captain Chip Olney of the facility said by phone.

This is extremely interesting, because Jericho's contract with WWE expired earlier this year, allowing him to take a match like this one with NJPW.

Having started his career with the WWE in 1999, Jericho has vowed numerous times that he is a loyalist of the company which is headquartered in CT, but this highlights a change of heart and possibly a feud between the Canadian and the WWE. Jericho was also reportedly called to make a guest appearance for WWE's TLC pay-per-view in October, though it is believed that he had a scheduling conflict. Rather, it's an opportunity for Jericho and Omega to put on a show and potential five-star match on a massive global stage.

Over the weekend, Chris Jericho appeared on NJPW's Power Struggle to challenge Kenny Omega for his IWGP United States Championship.
