The disgraced former head of Federation Internationale de Football Association, soccer's worldwide governing body, has been accused of sexual harassment by one of the biggest female soccer stars on the planet.
"In the case of Sepp Blatter, I went on the stage, I was nervous for the presentation".
Solo, 36, told the Portuguese newspaper Tribuna Expresso that she "had Sepp Blatter grab my a-" while the pair was backstage at the awards event. She had to pull herself together quickly to give the award to Wambach.
"I was in shock and completely thrown off", Solo told The Guardian, referring to the alleged assault.
Target selling fidget spinners with high levels of lead
Awful timing for Target just before the holiday season, as it faces a major problem with its hugely popular fidget spinner supply. The Fidget Wild Premium Spinner Brass center circle tested for 33,000 parts per million (ppm) of lead .
"I've seen it throughout my entire career", she said.
"I'm actually very disappointed with the women who haven't spoken about it in the sports world", Solo said. Last month, she talked about sexual harassment in sport, in the wake of allegations that surfaces about Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein.
"For the past few days, I have been thinking about all the uncomfortable situations myself and/or my team-mates have experienced throughout the years with trainers, doctors, coaches, executives and even team-mates". That needs to change.
Blatter has also had a history of what many consider to be sexist behavior concerning the women's game.
"They could, for example, have tighter shorts", Blatter said. I've seen it amongst players in the locker room.
Blatter, now 81, was banned by Federation Internationale de Football Association in 2015 after serving as president since 1998. "That decision was taken to create a more female aesthetic, so why not do it in fashion?"
Solo has won two Olympic gold medals and the 2015 World Cup.
