West Ham have appointed former Everton and Manchester United boss David Moyes as their new manager, the struggling Premier League club announced on Tuesday.

The Scot said: "I'm hungry to make sure I get things right now". But I have always only ever wanted to be involved with attacking, entertaining football.

"He proved with Everton that he has great qualities and we feel that West Ham United is a club that will give David the platform to display those qualities again".

But he will not be given big money to spend in the transfer market, and will have to sell to fund any major purchases.
